Direct transfers

One pickup, one destination, one agreed price

Direct transfers between two addresses with a chauffeur assigned in advance and the full price agreed before you travel.

Most journeys are simple: one pickup, one destination, one passenger or a small group. Point-to-point is priced for exactly that. You are not paying for idle time between stops, and you know the full cost before the car is booked.

  • A single agreed price covering the whole journey
  • A chauffeur assigned to the reservation before travel day
  • Pickup time proposed with the traffic reasoning behind it
  • Vehicle and chauffeur details sent before pickup

When point-to-point is the right choice

If your day is a single transfer — an office to a dinner reservation, a residence to a courthouse, a hotel to a client meeting — point-to-point is almost always better value than holding a car by the hour. If the itinerary has three or more stops, or if it is likely to change during the day, hourly usually costs less overall and we will tell you so.

How the timing is set

The pickup time is proposed against the destination’s arrival requirement, the corridor and the time of day, not a flat average. Capital-region travel times swing widely between peak and off-peak, and a quote that ignores that is a quote that fails on the day.

  • Arrival-time requirement taken at booking, then worked backwards
  • Route and corridor considered rather than a straight-line estimate
  • Waiting-time terms stated on the quote before you confirm

Additional stops

A short intermediate stop can usually be added to a point-to-point booking and is quoted openly as part of the journey. Once the stops multiply or the timing becomes uncertain, we will recommend moving the booking to hourly rather than letting the quote drift.

Questions

Point-to-point — frequently asked

For a single direct transfer, usually yes, because you are not paying for waiting time. For a day with several stops, hourly is normally better value. We will tell you which applies to your journey when we quote it.
